Milan Cricket Club was established in 1972 by an intrepid group of UK (and Irish) expatriates, the brother of iconic Ted Dexter in that party.  The club played its first match in June 1972 against Geneva and has been playing against a variety of other clubs every year since. Ted Dexter himself, after retiring from international cricket, played a few fixtures with us.

Although we don’t play in the Italian league, we are honorary members of the Italian Federation.

We usually play most Saturdays and Sundays, March through October.

Our home ground is at Settimo Milanese, on the western outskirts of Milan.

A wide range of players from different countries and with varying cricket abilities have played for us. From Princes to Prime Ministers, although we’ve never actually had any of either group as members. Everyone is welcome to join and although it helps to have had some experience of playing cricket, the most important qualities are a love of the game and of the friendly competitive spirit.

At present, we have players from UK, Ireland, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh and ltaly on the list. Present club’s president, Mr. Andrea Lanzoni, is ethnic Italian.

Every year we organize tournaments as well as friendly matches.  If you are interested in arranging fixtures with us or if you want to join our club to become effective member, you may contact:
